WellGear & Brimmond collaboration wins award
What a night at The Offshore Achievement Awards...
We couldn’t be more proud to be part of The WellGear Group's winning entry for this year’s Collaboration Project award!
We have worked closely with the WellGear team since 2017, drawing on our combined specialisms in well P&A and lifting requirements, but these most recent decommissioning campaigns really underscore the operational safety and efficiency improvements delivered as a result of our seamless collaboration.
Together we worked on the North Sea’s highest profile decom campaigns to date for a total of 967 days. With ageing platform cranes requiring frequent repairs, downtime is traditionally a significant challenge in well P&A projects, but our modular crane solution provided a safe, efficient and reliable solution.
Both our teams integrated well, with cross-team training reducing the number of personnel on board, which contributed to the saving of nearly 4,000 days, and the associated costs.
