Brimmond begins life as ‘Pirtek Aberdeen’ – a hydraulic hose and fittings franchise
1998
Rigrun Europe
Rigrun Europe is incorporated – servicing a range of oilfield equipment
2006
End of Pirtek
The Pirtek franchise ends and we begin trading as ‘Brimmond Group’ – offering a full hydraulic engineering service
2007
Acquisition
Our founder, Alistair Murdoch also acquires ‘Rigrun Europe’, specialising in motion compensation equipment for the drilling market
2008
New premises
Brimmond Group and Rigrun Europe move to larger premises in Kintore
2009
Acquisition two
We acquire ‘Preferred Marine Cranes’ strengthening our offering in the Marine and Defence sectors
2012
100th HPU
We successfully built our 100th HPU
2015
Purpose-built facilities
The team move to our new 2.5-acre purpose-built facility in Kintore… where we still reside today!

200th HPU
We successfully built our 200th HPU

Queensferry Crossing
We supply cranes for the construction of the longest three-tower, cable-stayed bridge in the world. We also provided technicians for the installation, as well as servicing and decommissioning of the equipment
